Viasat has significantly grown from the company’s original 1999 stake in Carlsbad, CA, through two major campus expansions; a 198,000sq ft North campus on 14 acres (home of Viasat’s in-flight Wi-Fi business) and a 340,000sq ft East campus on 23 acres.
Sylvester Roofing was chosen by our partner Whiting-Turner to construct this expansive project with a Carlisle TPO roof.
Viasat now is a modern, sleek behemoth of a landmark to this north county city, totaling to 1.1 million square feet across 17 buildings.
Under phenomenal direction and collaboration with Smith Consulting Architects, 33% percent of the Sylvester Roofing built roof space has solar panels, which qualified the campus for San Diego Gas & Electric’s Savings by Design program.
