The Quad Building project consists of the construction of a new, multi-level, educational building located on the Santa Fe Christian Schools campus in Solana Beach. The Quad Building represents the largest single project to be completed on the Santa Fe Christian campus to date. The new 3-story education building consists of a 1-story concrete podium deck with parking underneath, with 2-stories of structural steel above. The state-of-the-art Quad Building was designed by Safdie Rabines and features classrooms, offices, a student lounge, staff lounge, support spaces, and multiple outdoor balconies and shared common areas.
Sylvester Roofing was chosen by our partner Dempsey Construction for multiple roofing systems on The Quad project, including:
- TPO roofing system
- 60mil tpo Roof system with insulation with a base layer of 5" rigid insulation, 1/4" tapered rigid insulation system, 1/2" Primed cover board on low slope roof areas
- 60 Mil TPO roof membrane, mechanically fastened and heat welded
- Cover walls with TPO membrane up to 12" height
- TPO walk pads
- TPO Pipe Boots at roof penetrations
- Clay "S" tile system
- Self- Adhered - underlayment on entire pitched roof deck
- All required roof system metals including: eave drip edge metal, valley metal flashing, shed flashing, birdstop, tile pan, Z-bar, and roof-to-wall flashing
- Mortar weather block at hip, ridge, and roof-to wall-areas
- Hip/Ridge trim tile and gable/rake trim and top of mansard roof
